REGIONAL SPORTS
NETWORK GUIDE
The confusing world of RSNs, explained. Find your local channel and the streaming services that actually carry it.
What is an RSN?
A Regional Sports Network (RSN) is a TV channel that holds the exclusive local broadcast rights for professional sports teams in a specific geographic area.
Unlike national networks (ESPN, TNT), RSNs are only available to viewers living within the team's "home market." This is why you might see a game blacked out on national streaming services—the RSN wants you to watch on their channel instead.
Best Providers for RSNs
Fubo
Fubo is widely considered the best choice for sports fans. They carry almost every major RSN, including Bally Sports, NESN, and Marquee.
DIRECTV STREAM
The only service that carries virtually 100% of RSNs, including some niche ones like Altitude (Denver) that others lack.
⚠️ Note: YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV do NOT carry Bally Sports (the largest RSN group). If your team is on Bally, you need Fubo, DIRECTV Stream, or the Bally Sports+ App.
